The Pinga Festival of Paraty is a traditional event that
celebrates the ties that Paraty has with this sugarcane rum.
The party starts on the third Thursday of August for the
last 26 years and features stands by the local distilleries
that still produce this Cachaça in the traditional manner.
Live music, local artisan works, famous live Brazilian
bands, traditional local foods and sweets and pinga, lots of
pinga make this a very special experience set in the
historic center of Paraty. |
