PARACINE 2002 - I Festival of Short Films of Paraty proposes a pioneering competition: film and digital video competing together, in the same category, for the same prize. 

Some call it revolution, other a marketing scam. The truth is that the movies are in the middle of an evolution and the screens today frequency gushes with digital images. Many forebode the death of the celluloid; others just see a democratization alternative of doing cinematography. It is a complex and controversial transformation process, which involves renewals so much in the language and in the aesthetics of the film, as in your distribution and exhibition.
