    Paraty is situated on a small area of flatland surrounded by the mountains and the bay. Within a few kilometers of town you can find mountains, valleys, cliffs and many waterfalls!

Pedra Branca

    A very special place! Pedra Branca falls is 10 km from town, near the Fazenda Murycana. The last 3km is accessible only by foot or jeep. Its charm is in the waterfalls, and the pools sculptured in stone. A bit difficult to find and reach, we recommend that you ask directions before setting out.

Tobogã

The Cachoeira do Penha (Penha falls) is found on the Paraty-Cunha road 10 km from town. A short and easy walk of 200m brings you to tobogã, a large smooth rock where you can slide into a natural pool (be careful). Full on weekends and holidays.

Usina Waterfall

With its natural pool only 5 km from the traffic circle on the Paraty-cunha road this waterfall lies at the base of the mountains and therefore the access as easy. Ideal to visit by bicycle.

Poço das Andorinhas

Located in the rural zone in Corisco just 5 km. from the traffic circle on a dirt road. A beautiful waterfall with various natural pools.

Iriri falls

It is 26 km. from Paraty in the direction of Rio. One of the most beautiful waterfalls of the region, with 3 falls and several natural pools of transparent water.

Graúna waterfall

15km from the traffic circle in the direction of Rio. A great place to visit after the beach. It has a number of pools and falls that can be reached by following the river.
