A shoreline shaded by native almond trees and fishermens houses and boats is the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon. The beaches name, Sono (dream), says it all! Rich and exuberant nature offering calm, peace and serenity make Sono beach one of the prettiest landscapes of Paraty. Sono is a place to spend at least a daywith it's beach bars built by the local fishermen offering food and drinks. The waters of the area are usually calm and refreshing. Located between the Bay of Paraty and Trinidad. Antigos and Antiguinhos Sono and Antiguinhos are two beaches accessible by trail starting at the end of Sono beach. Still unspoiled, the two beaches don't have kiosks with food, just a small waterfall of drinkable water. Protected by the hard hike, the two beaches are practically deserted during the whole year with there breathtaking natural landscape. It is well worth it to visit Conceição waterfall (in front of the beach), take a swim in the fresh water and cleanse your soul! How to Get There By Car: on the Rio-Santos road in the direction of Saõ Paulo take the exit for "Condomínio de Laranjeiras". The trail's entrance is in a small village after the condominium. Boat: speak with the boats on the pier or in Paraty Mirim the possibilities and prices (it is a long trip in open ocean). Bus: bus line 1050 runs to Laranjeiras where it is a short walk to the beginning of the trail. -- The trail to Sono is long, approximatly 2 hrs, and rigerous.
